Kurt Arnold filed a lawsuit on behalf of the wife and son of Aaron Dale Burkeen (37), who died while heroically attempting to help other crew members evacuate the rig. Mr. Burkeen had worked for Transocean for ten years prior to the April 20th Deepwater Horizon explosion and was a crane operator onboard the vessel at the time of his death. Instead, the company made the decision to keep the men there for over ten hours, alongside the burning rig as the men stared at the rig knowing their   friends were on it.

Maritime attorney Kurt Arnold filed suit on behalf of a Louisiana resident who was injured on the DEEPWATER HORIZON following its explosion on April 20, 2010.  Plaintiff was knocked unconscious due to the blast. After the blast, the ceiling fell on Plaintiff and he frantically tried to push the ceiling off him once he recovered.  He eventually was able to make it to a life raft but not before suffering serious injury.  Arnold filed the case in Galveston County, which is the same county where the BP Texas City explosion occurred killing and injuring hundreds.

Houston maritime attorney Kurt Arnold filed a lawsuit on behalf of a seaman who was operating the starboard crane at the time of the Deepwater Horizon blowout. Midswing with the crane, the Louisiana seaman was thrown to the deck and suffered back, neck, and shoulder injuries along with smoke inhalation and trauma.

Injured Louisiana Seaman Files Suit for Deepwater Horizon Employee

During the Deepwater Horizon explosion, this Louisiana seaman suffered physical injuries when the ceiling in his room collapsed causing back, neck, and shoulder injuries. The Transocean employee left his quarters to make his way to the life rafts and suffered smoke inhalation as the oil rig burned around him.
